Although there are only a few days left in the 2024 Olympics and many events have wrapped up, there are still plenty of exciting boxing bouts scheduled over the coming days. If you're hoping to tune in to the men's and women's finals, you've come to the right place. Although boxing made its Olympic debut more than 100 years ago, it has been a constantly evolving part of the games. Women's boxing didn't become an Olympic event until the London Games in 2012, and it was just eight years ago at the 2016 Olympics that professional boxers were first allowed to participate in the competition.
In the past decade, Cuba and Great Britain have pretty much dominated the Olympic boxing field. At the Tokyo Olympics, Cuba won five medals (four of which were gold), and Great Britain received six (two of which were gold).
