How to recruit people in WoW? ›

Start by logging in to World of Warcraft, then generate an invite link through the Recruit A Friend interface (Default hotkey “O” or type "/raf" in any chat window and press Enter), and send it to your friends. It's that simple! Generate a recruitment link in-game and send it to your friends.

You may join the Guild Recruitment channel by typing "/join guildrecruitment," Gwenllian. Please be aware, however, that (like Trade Chat) you must be in a major city to participate and view this chat channel.

Recruit A Friend Features for Dragonflight

Link up to 10 friends to your account - Up to four friends per month can use your invite to be linked to your account, with a maximum of 10 total linked friends. You can generate a new invite monthly.

The Guild Finder is an interface designed to enable easier and faster guild recruitment. This interface only appears to players without a guild, replacing their normal Guild Window. It can be accessed from the micro menu, between the Quest Log and the Group Finder, or through the default hot key J.

Most newly formed guilds will recruit from the people they play with. If you run an instance with someone and they seem a great person, then tell them that if they're looking for a guild you'd love them to join. Be on the lookout for players who fit your guilds style and talk to them.

Unlike the previous Recruit a Friend program, the current Recruit a Friend program does not enable bonus experience and does not allow granting levels to your friend.

To resolve this issue, ask the Guild Leader or a Guild Officer to make room for you if the Guild is currently full. You cannot join a guild when your WoW account is silenced. Guilds are a social feature and all social features are blocked during a silence. Try again after the silence has ended.

Open the Guild tab (g). Select the tab on the right side with the people icon. Select the person you want to promote. (Warning: I'm doing this from memory, and I haven't done it for a long time) Use the same drop down you use for regular guild office promotions.

Your open invitations can be found on the front tab of the guild panel, on the left, under "Invitations." To accept an invitation to join a guild, select the guild in the "Invitations" list, then click the "Join Guild" button at the bottom of the window.
