Did you know you can use spreadsheets to make hundreds of everyday tasks easier? You can use them to efficiently keep track of job applications, birthday lists, inventories of collectible items, or anything else. Never opened a spreadsheet in your life? Don’t worry. This Microsoft 365 Essential Skills Word and Excel course will help you learn the basics of Word and Excel. This knowledge can help you in a wide variety of routine situations. These can include creating CVs, helping your kids with their homework, In Microsoft Word you will learn how to Enter, edit and delete text in a document, save and print your work, select, format and align text, add images and emojis, create a poster and use built in Word Templates to save time creating a document. In Microsoft Excel you will learn how to navigate spreadsheet cells, format data, add currency and change decimal places. Save and Print a worksheet. Add borders and colour to text and cells. Use basic formulas and create charts from selected data.
Course description
This Essential skills course will ease you into the wonderful world of Microsoft 365 Word Documents and Excel Spreadsheets. Ideal for Beginners or learners with some existing knowledge.
Microsoft Word 365 helps you explore the variety of features of this word processing software. Create better-looking CVs, and learn to add tables, lists and images into documents. Learn how the integrated tools can help you improve your documents. Use a variety of built in templates to add design and colour and save time creating a document.
Use Microsoft Excel 365 to enter and edit data and use basic formulae and auto-functions in a worksheet. This will help you do calculations automatically instead of wasting time adding things up manually. This is useful for creating budgets or knowing how much money you spend on certain items. Create pie, column and line charts. Apply filters to find the information you need and sort data.
When you complete this course, you can go on to study higher-level Excel courses. The next step in this series is the Microsoft 365 Further Skills: Word and Excel
